Kowabunga Features
Unlimited, unconditioned, and all-in. 100% open-source cloud orchestration.
Kowabunga is designed with modularity and minimalism at its core. Every component is purpose-built to deliver high-performance compute, resilient distributed storage, and automated software-defined networking without proprietary licensing or vendor lock-in.
Core Infrastructure Components
The distributed building blocks that orchestrate hypervisors, storage clusters, and network fabrics across multiple availability zones.

Kahuna
The central orchestration brain of Kowabunga. Remotely controls compute, storage, and networking resources across all regions while maintaining system state consistency. Gateway to the comprehensive Kowabunga REST API.

Koala
The official Kowabunga WebUI dashboard. Provides operators and tenants with intuitive day-to-day supervision, resource visualization, project quota allocation, and operational control.

Kiwi
The Kowabunga software-defined network node. Delivers automated routing, stateful firewalling, DHCP, DNS, WireGuard/IPSec site-to-site tunneling, and active-passive gateway failover.

Kaktus
The bare-metal hyper-converged node agent. Manages KVM/QEMU virtual machines and integrates local NVMe storage into Ceph distributed block pools, providing resilient compute execution.
Turnkey Virtual Services
High-level, API-driven virtual services deployable on-demand via Terraform, OpenTofu, or RESTful API calls.

Kawaii
Kawaii provides managed Internet Gateway services. Connects isolated project VPCs to the public Internet with inbound NAT/firewall security, egress filtering, and secure BGP peering.

Kompute
Kompute is the core compute building block. Grants granular per-vCPU and per-GB RAM sizing with instant snapshotting and live migration backed by distributed Ceph storage pools.

Konvey
Konvey provides standalone TCP/UDP Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancers with automated health checking, TLS termination, and traffic distribution across backend compute instances.

Kylo
Kylo exposes scalable, 100% NFSv4-compatible distributed shared filesystems. Highly resilient and multi-AZ replicated, perfect for Kubernetes Persistent Volumes (PVs).
